Prayer Tree

The St. David's Prayer Tree consists of teams of parishioners committed to a ministry of prayer. The prayer tree has three components.

Parishioners, and their immediate family members, with serious or life-threatening illnesses may be placed on the full prayer tree. That means that all 7 teams are praying for healing. We pray specifically for each person, depending on the situation and treatment prescribed. Prayers continue until the person has recovered or treatment has ended. We like to receive updates on these people fairly often, so that we can continue to pray for them in an intentional and concentrated manner.

Parishioners, family members or family friends who are not as critically ill, or have a life situation that is not as ‘critical’ as those described above, are assigned to an individual prayer team for  prayer for two months. If the requester would like us to pray beyond two months, they can provide an update. If no update is received, their name is removed after two months.

The third component is a “Day of Prayer”. If we receive a request informing us that someone is undergoing surgery or testing, all members of the Prayer Tree will pray throughout the day for that person.

If you have a prayer request, or if you would like to join this wonderful and gratifying ministry, please contact co-leaders This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
