  • Each week Loudoun Interfaith Relief provides food to more than 500 families. Your contributions can help feed families in need. Red envelopes to make donations to Domestic Outreach are located on the windowsill by the Backpack Buddies cart and the Interfaith Relief wagon. [5/13/2012]

  • "Food insecurity"- when a person does not know how they will get their next meal - is on the rise in Loudoun County. In Northern Virginia, one in every six children is food insecure. In Loudoun, America’s "most affluent county", roughly 19,000 people are food insecure. [5/6/2012]

  • El Hogar de Amor y Esperanza (the Home of Hope and Love) was founded in 1979 by providing five boys with housing and food. Today they provide for 250 children (ages 5-20) at three boarding schools. St. David's Missionaries to El Hogar pay all of their own expenses to serve the children and staff at El Hogar; additionally the team provides $2,000 to El Hogar to help defray operating and maintenance costs.   • Our preschool has never had to turn a family away due to monetary constraints? This year alone, we were able to help 18 children through scholarships. Part of our ability to help those in need comes from the Jim Tracy fund. This fund - established in 2009 to honor Jim's years of service and commitment to the church and preschool - is now running low. If you would like to help a little one attend the preschool and at the same time honor Jim's years of service, please consider donating to the Jim Tracy fund. Every donation, big or small, helps!   • In 2010, over 50 parishioners attended the Good Shepherd Alliance Walk for Shelter. St. David’s represented the largest attendance from any church in Loudoun County. [09/25/2011]

  • The Altar Guild ensures that St. David’s is ready for worship. There are four teams that rotate each week so the altar is prepared for any and all services. [09/18/2011]

  • Prayer quilts with our prayers tied in them have been given away to more than 50 people. One quilt has gone as far as Germany. [09/11/2011]

  • Each digital mixer used by the Tech Team has over 100 buttons, 16 sliders and 20 knobs. Sound Techs must master approximately 80% of those in order to successfully operate an event. [08/28/2011]

  • The flower arrangements on the altar are created by loving volunteers offering their time and talent each week. It takes about 2 hours to prepare a single arrangement that is so beautiful, many people assume they are from a florist. [08/21/2011]

  • Last Sunday, parishioners donated 25 pints of blood and each donor burned about 600 calories doing so. [08/07/2011]
