Over 100 people gathered for two hours on Wednesday evening, January 21, 2009, to celebrate Kevin Phillips' legacy of ministry at our parish over the last three years.

The evening began with a dessert social in the Narthex. Next was a Champaign/ginger ale toast in the Sanctuary followed by a presentation of a commemorative plaque to Kevin with the five Root Values and seven Spiritual Disciplines. A duplicate of the plaque will be hung on the wall by the Education Room.

Then, a wonderful slideshow of photos with music representing the last three years was shown on the overhead screen. The slideshow can be viewed on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6muOmzWGri4.

The podium was then opened to parishioners who wanted to give testimonials about the impact Kevin had on their lives, their experience with God and their view of church. Finally, Carol Bonifant closed the gathering in prayer and blessing of Kevin and his family as they move forward on their journey of faith.
