GIRLS and Moms Forge new Bonds of Affection

ImageEighteen mothers and their 22 daughters, from the 2nd-5th grades, enjoyed fun and fellowship at this Covenant Community’s first GIRLS event on June 1.

GIRLS stands for: Girls and their mothers, Inviting friends, Reaching their potential, Loving each other, with St. David's family.  As mothers and daughters ate barbecue and played games on a sunny Sunday afternoon, familiar friendships were renewed, and new friendships were created.

As these monthly events continue, the bondings that occur will be like the Shepherd Groups where so many adults find faithful support.

“Thanks again for such a fun Sunday,” said Molly Steele.  “My girls and myself had a blast.  We’re looking forward to our next get-together!”

“Thanks for a wonderful time on Sunday!” said Ann-Marie Lanius.  “Morgan and I really enjoyed our special time together and getting a chance to meet some new people. We can't wait to do it again!”

Stay tuned for details on the next GIRLS event
