FY11 - FY13 Strategic Goals and Objectives
Goal 1 – Foster a culture of welcoming and inclusion
Objectives:
| 1.1 | Develop and implement a comprehensive and integrated “Welcoming Program,” lead by the Welcoming Committee that addresses the needs of new-comers as well as long-time parishioners |
| 1.2 | Actively promote the acceptance of all people, of all ages, backgrounds, races, religions, etc. at St. David’s |
| 1.3 | Create a culture of welcoming |
| 1.4 | Recruit and train additional Welcoming Committee members |
| 1.5 | Develop and implement a volunteer recognition program |
Goal 2 – Enhance St. David’s identity as an outreach-focused community
Objectives:
| 2.1 | Enhance the impact of our Mission work by prioritizing and coordinating activities and focusing resources on the highest priority initiatives |
| 2.2 | Support Mission work through
- targeted and coordinated communications/publicity
- targeted and coordinated fundraising and collection

| 2.3 | Support Mission Leadership development |
| 2.4 | Recruit and train team members |
| 2.5 | Establish an Outreach Ministry liaison process with the Diocese |
| 2.6 | Communicate Mission opportunities and requirements, and celebrate openly and publicly the results of our Mission work |
Goal 3 – Enhance Discipleship such that we may learn to intentionally love God, accept His love, and love one another…..together
Objectives:
| 3.1 | Develop and implement programs that help the St. David’s community to intentionally honor the 5 Root Values in our relationships with others – People Commitment, Autonomy, Truth, and Legacy |
| 3.2 | Develop and implement programs that help the St. David’s community to intentionally live out and purposely support the 7 Spiritual Disciplines – Prayer, Bible Study, Sabbath Keeping, Tithing, Small Groups, Gifted Ministry, and Sharing the Story |
Goal 4 – Create a Discernment-based culture where clergy, congregation, and small groups may learn to give prayerful consideration to decisions in their lives
Objectives:
| 4.1 | Develop a comprehensive program designed to teach our community to leverage the discernment process to enhance our ability to look for obvious manifestations of God’s active movement using scriptural premise and to better understand God’s dream for us. |
| 4.2 | Design and implement a multi-media program promoting the concept of Discernment. |
Goal 5 – Create a dynamic culture of worship that is increasingly relevant, spirit filled, engaging, transformational and participatory
Objectives:
| 5.1 | Increase our understanding of the needs of our community through research, polling, surveys, and/or other methods |
| 5.2 | Add services and/or programs designed to reach all community demographics |
| 5.3 | Increase instructional opportunities for our congregation |
| 5.4 | Analyze our ability to hire clergy and develop a plan and/or mitigation strategy to address the results |
| 5.5 | Focus on programs and activities that will increase our ability to build a Parish Hall in the future |
| 5.6 | Implement a standard process for measuring, tracking, and analyzing attendance in services, study sessions, and small groups, and leverage the information collected to make adjustments, as necessary |
