High School Lock-In

It's getting close to time again for the great annual High School Lock-In! On the evening of November 14th, the high school youth group will gather at the church, but they won't stay there all night. This is no ordinary lock-in.

Late Night Fun at Harris Teeter
The main event of the evening is a sort of supermarket sweep of Harris Teeter at midnight! The high school will break into teams and race (responsibly) through Harris Teeter gathering canned goods and other non-perishable items for Loudoun Interfaith and Relief.

But the Lock-In begins weeks before Nov. 14th, because these high school students are challenged to step out of their comfort zones and find ways to collect money. The money goes to pay for the canned goods which they will collect in their super market sweep at midnight.

They can go door to door. They can baby-sit, help their neighbor clean her gutters; whatever it takes to raise the money. Last year the high school group raised $807 for those in need in Loudoun County.

This event is the perfect combination of fun, fellowship, and service. It more than makes up for the hard floor we will sleep on.
