Our church is one of many Loudoun County churches, social service and government agencies providing families, children and senior citizens needed items in a manner that promotes dignity and self-respect.

The Holiday Coalition offers families the opportunity to "shop" in a store stocked with donated food, clothing, personal care items and other merchandise. Clients select items based on an assessment of their families’ needs. Children are registered for Christmas gifts and an outfit of clothing.

Jeans are in high demand, and in years past there were shortages of this hot item at the Holiday Coalition. In 2006, our church decided to focus on this item with a "jean tree" so that more people would have the opportunity to receive this highly useful and durable item. In 2007 this parish contributed over 300 pairs of jeans and we hope 2008 to be as good or even better. This means a lot of jeans under our tree!

The mothers and daughters in our GIRLS Group had a great time of fellowship and service making the angel ornaments hanging on the tree. Please choose an angel or two and purchase new jeans in the sizes indicated. Bring the jeans unwrapped, (sizes 4-6x, 8-18; plus sizes always needed,) to church by December 14, 2008. The GIRLS Group will be making deliveries to the Holiday Coalition on Sunday, December 7 and Monday, December 15, 2008.
