Commit Me: Season of Stewardship
Written by Vestry & Staff
Sunday, 21 October 2007

This covenant community’s capacity for ministry is equal to its capacity for commitment.

That was the message sent by the Vestry and Rector at the Parish Forum, October 21, after the 10:45 service.  After a quick lunch in the Narthex, parishioners went back into the church for a series of presentations.

First the Rector spoke on the theme of Commitment, specifically the three commitments that anyone wanting to be a member of this Covenant Community is asked to make: 1) Regular presence in worship: 2) Support of fellow parishioners through prayer and Shepherd Groups: 3) Support of the Covenant Community by returning to the Lord a proportion of their income.

Senior Warden Eric Ruttenberg then summarized the draft 2008 Budget, which the Vestry approved at its most recent meeting.

Finally, several parishioners stood and testified to their trust in God and commitment to each other and the rest of this Covenant Community.
