K-WILD Kindergarten Enrichment

ImageKindergartners Go WILD at St. David’s Episcopal Church & School in our unique Kindergarten Enrichment Program! As you are registering your child for Kindergarten or planning to home-school your Kindergarten-aged child for the next school year, please consider our K-WILD program to supplement the Kindergarten experience. Kindergarteners have the opportunity to experience enriching learning in a variety of ways because the classroom moves with them and their needs…indoors or outdoors. Come check out our outdoor classroom that enhances the traditional indoor educational experience.

“We have such a brief opportunity to pass on to our children our love for this Earth, and to tell our stories. These are the moments when the world is made whole. In my children’s memories, the adventures we’ve had together in nature will always exist.”

Image“K-WILD has been a blessing for our 6 year old son. He goes to the traditional public school Kindergarten class for 3 hours in the morning and then comes twice a week to K-WILD at St. David’s. The school is able to give his brain a break of the rigors and monotony of the classroom. He has become very interested in the environment and conservation and has developed a love of the outdoors. The teachers are still working with the students on reading, writing, vocabulary, mathematics and social skills, but his physical coordination, balance and agility has improved significantly. The weather has never been a factor for the children. The muddier, the better. He talks about the friends in K-WILD more than his AM Kindergarten and it is all I can do to keep him inside some afternoons. Plus, he can climb a tree like no one!"
