Shirley Helmich , 85, died August 13, 2008 at her home in Leesburg, VA.  Mrs. Helmich was a WWII veteran in the US Navy.  In 2003 she moved to Leesburg from New Jersey and continued to pursue her life-long gift of helping others through her volunteer work at Loudoun County Hospital, St. David’s Episcopal Church and at Leisure World where she lived.

Funeral arrangements are through Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9.  (201) 664-0292 .  Funeral Service will be at Holy Trinity Church, 326 Hillsdale Ave., Hillsdale, NJ on Monday August 18th at 10 AM.  Interment will be at George Washington Cemetery in Paramus.
