FAQs

When do the youth groups meet?
Both the High School and the Middle School youth groups meet at 6 pm on Sunday nights.

How can my son/daughter get involved in youth group?
The easiest way is to simply bring them to a regular youth group meeting. These meetings, each Sunday night from 6-8 pm, are designed to welcome newcomers and build relationships. Another option is to have them come on one of our off-site youth group events. Fun events, like Snow Tubing, are a great way to get students involved. If these options do not work, feel free to contact Youth Ministry Leader, Jonathan Stube. He can work with you and your son/daughter to get him/her involved in a way that fits specific needs.

Do I just drop them off at the church?
Yes. Our team of caring adult mentors is always on site to make sure students are safe and welcomed. You are more than welcome to walk your son/daughter in to the building if you prefer.

Do the High School and Middle School Groups meet together?
No. The High School group meets in Boslaugh Building in the Youth Room. The Middle School group meets in the Narthex.

What is the format of youth group meetings?

Do you ever take trips as a youth group?
Yes. We have three types of events. We have many fun trips each year, such as skiing, snow tubing, laser tag, paintball and more. We have events designed to develop our faith, such as retreats. We have service events where students are challenged to answer God's call to be a servant. We also have an annual mission trip called REACH.

Are all youth events chaperoned?
Yes. All our events have fun and caring Adult Mentors present. We strive to maintain a 5:1 student to adult ratio. Read more about our Adult Mentors. All of our adult mentors have background checks and are required to attend a Sexual Abuse Prevention Workshop. Your son/daughter's safety is a high priority.

Is there a permission form of some kind?
Yes. Students need to fill out a participation form to be a part of Youth Group functions.

Is there anything I can do to help?
Yes! We are always looking for people to help with logistical support. We are also always looking for more adult mentors to enter into relationships of spiritual friendship with our students. If you are interested in helping with Logistics, contact Lisa Hayes. If you're interested in being an adult mentor, contact Jonathan Stube.
