The Holiday Coalition consists of a number of churches, social service and government agencies committed to serve families, children and senior citizens of Loudoun County by providing much needed items, in a manner that promotes dignity and self respect.

In 1996, a number of agencies met to design a better way to serve families during the holidays. The goal was to prevent duplication of effort and to assure a consistent quality of service to all.

Eligible families "shop" in a store that has been stocked with donated food and merchandise. Clients do not purchase items, but they are free to select items based on a personal assessment of the needs of their families.
