With more people having faced the truth, the question then becomes, “What’s next?”

What’s next is a meeting at Stone Bridge High School on Saturday, May 17.  The meeting is scheduled to start at 9 am and finish at 3 pm.  But there will be breaks that allow people to either arrive later or leave earlier.

While all parishioners are welcome at the Next Step, those having participated in the Truth Or Consequences Workshops will have been better prepared and will be able to contribute more directly.  If you haven’t signed up for a Workshop, please do so now.

Facing the Problem and Brainstorming the Solution
The Next Step meeting will focus on the problem that this Covenant Community’s future is at risk, because parishioners’ aspirations for our ministry are ahead of our current financial commitment. To do this we will break into multiple small problem solving teams focused on generating ideas/themes on the key questions

Then participants will break into problem-solving teams that will brainstorm solutions, which will then be reported to the Vestry ahead of their decision on the future of the Parish.  Each person’s input and ideas will be sought and recorded.  Groups will then prioritize specific actions which might be taken.  The meeting will end with a review of the most supported 10-20 actions by all present. 

Help the Vestry Decide
“This meeting is vitally important,” said Vestry member Mark Boyer.

“Through these structured conversations, parishioners will narrow the options for solving our problem. 

“At the end of the day, I hope we will have recommendations that are specific, and that reflect a consensus of the Covenant Community, from which the Vestry can decide our future together.”
