1/21 - 10 am Combined Service, 2018 Annual Meeting and Vestry Elections
Please join us Sunday, 1/21/18, for a combined Worship Service, Annual Meeting and Vestry Elections at 10am. During the Annual Meeting, elections will be held to fill three, three-year term Vestry positions and one, two-year term Vestry position. We have four outstanding candidates running for Vestry: Mary Haberl, Conrad Jones, Matt Kuhns and Michael Martino. Thank you to our outgoing Vestry Members for their service: Sharon Easley, Janie Jones and Nancy Whiting. Please take the time to read the candidates’ bios and learn more about each of them.
Music at Belmont Concert 1/21
Loudoun Symphony Presents Baroque, Beyond and Back Again at St. David's on 1/21 at 4 pm. Chase away the winter gloom by enjoying an afternoon of joyful music featuring principal musicians from the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra. Conducted by Matthew Brown, the program features the iconic Vivaldi’s Winter from The Four Seasons, the Holberg Suite for String Orchestra. and the Fantasie Brilliante on Themes from Carmen by Borne. Women's Ministry Event -Soup and Sabbath
Please join us for our first 2018 Women's Ministry event on Friday, January 26th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at St. David's. We will enjoy a simple soup dinner. We will breathe in and exhale together. And we will begin what will be an ongoing conversation about what God's vision may be for our ministry while we give it shape through the Easter Season. Newcomers Orientation Class
Please join us for our “Newcomers Orientation” class which provides a brief overview of St. David’s Church and its rich legacy. It will be held Sunday, 1/28, at 12:15. The class is 90 minutes. We hope you are able to attend! A light lunch will be served and child care is available if you need it. Please send your response to firstname.lastname@example.org. All are invited, especially those who are new to the church or have been attending for a while, but would like to get to know us better.
Please donate coats, gloves and hats to help those in need. We will collect ad distribute to the Cold Weather Shelter, Salvation Army and Good Shepard Alliance. Donated items may be placed in the Coat Drive container located in the church.
DOK Tea– Save the Date
The St. Rose chapter of the Daughters of the King (DOK) invite the women of St. David’s to attend our annual tea to be held April 28th. We will have a hat judging contest and a fashion show, sponsored by the junior daughters chapter, St. Julia. So mark your calendars and buy a hat (or a fascinator).
