As we begin this journey together, think about why you decided to read the Bible in a year. Is it something you have always wanted to do? Are you curious about what we don't read in church? Have you always wanted to and didn't know exactly how to approach it? Whatever your reason, you are here and the Holy Spirit has inspired you in some way to dive into God's inspired word in Holy Scripture. While we will all read at different times of the day, we are reading together and we are never alone when we read the Bible. Reading Scripture in and of itself is a form of prayer and that is how we approach these readings each day. In turn, we are intentionally carving out part of each of our days and dedicating it to God. Wonderful and strange things happen when you begin to do this. I hope to use this space as a place where we can comment on daily readings, the reflection material, or any other components of this process. My prayers are with you and am excited to begin reading. We officially begin on October 1, 2018 and will finish on September 30, 2019. |

The Rev. William L. Packard
I am excited to read the Bible with you, not only for the knowledge and ability to say, "I've read the whole thing," but for the wonderful things that occur when Scripture is read intentionally each day. Archives
