Congratulations and Farewell
On Sunday June 7 at 1 pm, we will congratulate our graduates via a drive through in the St. David’s parking lot. Our high school and college graduates will be positioned on the grass at the periphery of the parking lot (socially distanced, of course). Please come by to drive through and honk your horn, cheer, wave or yell out your joy and support. Get creative - signs are welcome. Please do not get out of your car. We ask that no cards or gifts be delivered at this time. We’ll be saying goodbye to Fr. Will during this time as well, so you’ll drive by Fr. Will to thank him for his wonderful ministry among us, tell him we’ll miss him, and wish him well in his new position at St. Andrew’s Burke. We will have signs directing you in, around and out of the parking lot and parishioners to direct you as well.
St. David’s Q and A - Coronavirus conversations
We are offering yet another way to fellowship and stay in touch. Dr. Anne Brown, our parishioner and local OB/GYN, has offered to be available to us on Thursdays from 5-6 pm to discuss the local aspects of the pandemic and to answer questions. Anne is a wealth of information and a calm, reassuring voice of reason. She has asked that you send your specific questions ahead of time so that she can be prepared. We will also share a brief recap about what's happening in our community in regard to mission and ministry.
Our next session is Thursday, June 4th at 5 pm. The link to the Zoom meeting is here. Send your questions ahead of time to email@example.com, or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

An Invitation to Join Together with the Brotherhood of St. Andrew
Do you feel a need for fellowship and to connect with other men and youth of St. David’s during these very different times? The Brotherhood of St. Andrew, the vibrant group of men at St. David’s, offers virtual Zoom meetings at 9 am every Saturday to pray, give thanks for all of the blessings in our lives and to share what we are going through – both good and not so good. On average, about 25 men and youth are “attending” the weekly meetings. It is great to see the faces and to hear, first-hand, how our members are coping while being sequestered and the messages of hope. We invite you, even if you are not a member of the Brotherhood, to join us on Saturday mornings at 9 am. Interested? Please drop us a line at BOSA@sdlife.org and we will get in touch with you.
Prayer list for health care workers
Do you know someone who is serving on the front lines in caring for those who are ill with corona virus? We are starting a prayer list specifically for nurses, doctors, any hospital workers, EMTs or others who are putting themselves at risk to care for others. We will be praying for their health, safety, stamina and spirit. If you would like to add a name to this list, please email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. We will update the list weekly. Thank you.
Goodbye and Thank you to our Seminarian Melina!
As we reach the end of the academic year, we say goodbye to Melina Dezhbod, who has been our seminarian since last September. Melina, thank you for your ministry here among us. We will miss you but we know you will be a great gift to God's church! A big thank you to Melina's lay committee, led by Alyssa Yamatani and including Jen Bluhm, Will Samson, Steve Velling, Gerald Nau and Todd Huntley. This faithful group shepherded Melina through her year with us. Your support is much appreciated.
Melina has made a video to thank St. David's.
If you would like to write to her, her address is: 98 Phoenix Avenue, Naugatuck, CT 06770
Alleluia Feeding Ministry
As we continue to live into the resurrection during these 50 Days of Easter and pandemic, we are called to partner with St. Gabriel’s – San Gabriel Episcopal Church as compassionate companions in support of feeding our brothers and sisters in Christ here in Loudoun County by sharing our abundance through the supplies listed here. Thank you in advance for your giving heart.
If you are able to donate food, the following organizations are in desperate need. Please follow the links for more information on how you can help.
