Vestry
|
The vestry is the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. The Vestry also creates and oversees the budget for the parish. At St. David's, our Vestry is made up of nine lay members, led by the rector. Each lay member is elected in January and serves a three year term.
The Vestry meets together as a group at least once per month. We review financials, property, etc. We also take parishioner comments. We would love to hear from you. It is our honor to serve you. Please join us at our next meeting. To learn more about the duties and responsibilities of the Vestry, click here. To contact the entire Vestry, please email vestry@sdlife.org. |

Vestry Update At the Vestry meeting on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 Katherine Beckett-Goodwin was appointed to a one year Vestry term and voted in as the Senior Warden for St. David's. Thank you, Katherine for stepping forward! A huge thank you to our outgoing Senior Warden David Sheastley! David has done an amazing job during his 4+ years on the Vestry. We are especially thankful for his guidance and leadership during the past two difficult years. Meet Your Discernment Committee At its April 20th meeting, the Vestry voted unanimously to appoint the following parishioners to serve on the Discernment Committee for St. David’s Church and School. Each of the seven is a member in good standing of St. David’s and has either been confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church and is at least 16 years of age. Beyond these usual qualifications, we wanted individuals who love St. David’s; are open to all possibilities; are able to listen carefully, responsively and respectively; are able to hold all work and conversations in strict confidence; and are rooted in prayer and awareness of God’s presence and guidance. We believe each of these individuals more than meet the requirements. The Discernment Committee is: Anne Brown Bob Chirles Richard Easley Dotty Eisenhour Mary McClintock Mathew Verghese H.L. Vogl All have been active in the life of the church with membership at St. David’s ranging from 2 years to 20+. |
