Families at 4pm Worship Service
I'll guide Firamaziplaces
You are invited to come for a family service at 4pm on the first Sunday of every month. Wherever you are in your spiritual journey you are warmly welcomed here. This service runs from 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm and will include music, movement, a family focused message, followed by a meal to be shared. Studies have found that children's worship experiences are shaped by three key factors:
- Environmental context - the physical setting, including color, imagery, and design, should align with children's natural affinity for vivid visuals and movement. Stained glass, colorful art, and interactive spaces can help children connect emotionally and spiritually.
- Ritual and predictability - children thrive on familiar, structured routines. Movement can be part of this ritual, such as hand motions, dance, or interactive prayers.
- Intentional enculturation - children learn faith through imitation and participation. Movement helps them embody worship, making it more memorable and personal.
The first service is on Sunday, September 6th! This will be picnic-style event with hotdogs and hamburgers served. Bring a blanket, your soccer chair and have the kids bring their backpacks to be blessed.
Looking forward to seeing you!
