Experience Lent & Easter at St. David's

Journey with us through the season of Lent, a time of reflection, prayer, and preparation leading up to Easter.

We invite you to participate in our special services and events designed to deepen your faith and spiritual connection.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner February 17th
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Join us for St. David’s Annual Pancake Dinner on Tuesday, February 17th, 5:00pm-7:30pm; sponsored by the Emmanuel Johnson Chapter of the St. David’s Men’s Fellowship. Historically, Shrove Tuesday (Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras) is the last day of “fat eating” before the fasting period of Lent. Pancakes are associated with the day because they were a way to use up rich foods such as eggs, milk, and sugar before Lent. Burning of the palms will take place in preparation for Ash Wednesday.
Ashes to Go February 18th
6:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Ashes to Go is about bringing spirit, belief, and belonging out from behind church doors, and into the places where we go every day. It's a simple event with deep meaning, drawing on centuries of tradition and worship to provide a contemporary moment of grace. It is a way of marking Ash Wednesday by distributing ashes in public places to those for whom attending an Ash Wednesday service is a challenge. St. David's Ashes to Go schedule is listed below. Please view the video https://sojo.net/media/ashes-go for a deeper understanding of why "Ashes to Go"

Ash Wednesday Service February 18th
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the penitential Lenten season. Christians all over the world gather to remind each other of our mortality. As you are marked with the cross, "Remember you are dust and to dust you shall return." The same God who created you from the very earth to which you will return - the very God of Moses and Sarah and Abraham is also God for you. You are God's beloved. Join us for services at 7:00 PM.
